What is Tanu's Money Journal ?

Hey, fellow human beings 👋

I'm Tanjot Kaur. I've passed the CFA Level II exam, and somewhere along the way I became obsessed with figuring out how money actually works.

The Cash Playbook is where I document everything I learn—from investing and economics to the random finance rabbit holes I accidentally fall into at 2 a.m. If I can understand it, I'll explain it in plain English.

Because honestly? Finance has a terrible PR team. People make it sound way more complicated than it needs to be.

My goal is simple: make finance accessible to everyone—not just the people who throw around words like alpha and Sharpe ratio at brunch. 😉

So grab a coffee, get comfortable, and let's figure this money thing out together.

I believe ...

💸 Investing should be done by everyone

-- because money shouldn’t just sit there looking pretty. Whether you’re 18 or 80,                                              learning to make your money work for you is non-negotiable.

🌍 Everything is connected

-- the world moves as one. A new tech trend in China? It’ll reach India soon. Markets,                          industries, and economies are linked, which makes growth predictable if you know                          where to look.

💣 Inflation is scary

-- it silently erodes the value of your savings if left unchecked. Stay aware, or your money                    loses purchasing power faster than you realize.

🛒 You’re poor? Blame consumerism

-- peer pressure, trends, and FOMO are sneaky. Buy less than your neighbor, save more,                    and invest—your future self will thank you.
